Directions to AT HOME IN THE WOODS, Greenfield
Where: Highland Park, Greenfield, MA. From I-91, take exit 26 for Rt-2A e/Rt-2
W toward N Adams/Greenfield. At the traffic circle, take the first exit onto
Mohawk Trail/Rt-2A E. Follow 2-A E for just over a mile, then continue as it turns
into Crescent Street and then Highland Ave. Drop-off is at the cul-de-sac at the
end of Highland Ave., about a half-mile down.
Directions to AT HOME IN THE WOODS, South Deerfield
Where: Pocumtuck Ridge Nature Preserve, South Deerfield. Take Routes 5 &10
to South Deerfield. Turn onto North Hillside Road – across from Magic Wings
Butterfly Conservatory. Go over the railroad tracks, take first left onto Stage
Road. Follow Stage Road, turns into Pocumtuck Drive. See small Pocumtuck
Ridge Nature Preserve sign on left and park on the roadway. Please do not park
in front of cables for the Preserve.
Directions to AT HOME IN THE WOODS, Conway
Where: 40 Hickory Ridge Rd. in Conway, MA. From Amherst, take 116-
N/Sunderland Rd north for several miles. You will go through Sunderland and
cross the Connecticut River. Turn right at Rt-10/US-5 and follow that for a mile,
then turn left to follow 116-N/Conway Rd as it splits away. Continue to follow RT-
116 about 8 miles until you make a slight right at Hickory Ridge Rd. Once at 40
Hickory Ridge Rd, you will find parking across from the house. We’ll be there to
greet you.
From Northampton, take I-91 N to exit 24 for US-5/RT-10 towards Deerfield.
Turn right at Rt-10/US-5, continue one mile, then turn left to follow 116-
N/Conway Rd as it splits away. Then follow the directions as above.
Directions to AT HOME IN THE WOODS, Shutesbury
Where: Shutesbury. Northbound on I-91: On I-91 north of the Mass Pike – Exit
Northampton at Exit 19 onto Route 9 East towards Amherst.
Southbound on I-91: Take Exit 21 and follow signs to Route 9. Turn left (East)
onto Route 9. Once on Route 9, proceed 4-5 miles. Turn Left at light on
Pleasant Street (Top of gradual hill after malls and gas stations, sign says
Amherst Center) Proceed past Amherst square (a grassy green on your right).
Take Right at next light onto Main St. Go 6 miles to Rt 202. Turn Left on 202
(North) at flashing yellow light. Go 1/4 mile and take immediate diagonal left onto
Shutesbury Rd. (Marked with green sign).Go 2 miles and take left onto Baker Rd
(sign sometimes hidden by tree.) Go 1/3 mile past first Sirius sign to second
Sirius sign on left. Drive all the way to end of driveway veering to left to Large
Building (Sirius Community Center) Park to left.

Directions to THE HITCHCOCK CENTER, to find many of our Programs including Heron Homeschool.
Where: 525 South Pleasant St. Amherst, MA 01002. From areas South of
Amherst: Take Interstate 91 North to Exit 19 (Amherst Exit). Turn right off the
ramp and go over the bridge. Take Route 9 approximately 6 miles to the center
of Amherst. At the intersection in downtown Amherst, turn right onto Route 116
(also called South Pleasant Street). The Hitchcock Center is one mile from this
intersection. Take a right at our driveway (where there is also a sign for The
Common School at the same entrance). After entering the driveway, take the first
left into the parking lot.
Directions to BONNYVALE ENVIRONMENTAL EDUCATION CENTER, BRATTLEBORO, VT
Where: From Exit 2 off Interstate 91, take Route 9 (Western Avenue) 1.2 miles.
Bonnyvale Road will be on the left. Take Bonnyvale Road 2.2 miles. Look for
BEEC on the right just over the crest of a very steep hill. Look for BEEC on the
right as you start back down the hill. Park where you see small blue BEEC
parking signs. You will find the information kiosk in the courtyard behind the white
farmhouse.
Directions to BOLTON, MA (Owls, Otters, and Deer)
Where: 159 Golden Run Rd., Bolton, MA 01740
From I-495: take exit 27 for rt 117 W towards Bolton. Merge onto Main St
(staying on rt 117 W) for 0.2 miles, then turn right at Sugar Rd. Continue for 1
mile and Sugar Rd will turn into Golden Run Rd., continue for another 0.7 miles
to #159.
DIRECTIONS TO MILL RIVER LOCATION (WolfQuest)
Where: 64 State Street in Amherst. From Route 9 heading toward Amherst,
pass McDonalds on right. Then get in left lane and take a left on Route 116
North. Go about 3 miles, until first traffic light. Take a right (green signs say
toward Route 63 and North Amherst)at light, onto Meadow Street. Go until next
traffic light, less than one mile. At this intersection, you are crossing North
Pleasant Street and once you cross the street the names from Meadow to Pine
Street. Go thru the light and in less than 1/2 mile (about seven street lights) there
is a fork on your left. Take that left onto State Street. First house on your left-a
yellow farm house and a big red barn-is #64
Directions to STANLEY PARK

From points east or west on MA Pike: On the Massachusetts turnpike, you
need to get off at EXIT 3 – which is the WESTFIELD/NORTHAMPTON exit.
TURN RIGHT on to Routes 10 and 202 SOUTH. Continue on Routes 10 and 202
SOUTH for 2 miles until you reach the center of Westfield. A rotary will be on
your left, and the Westfield Library will be on your right. Take a RIGHT onto
Court Street. Continue for about 1 mile Court Street will turn into Western
Avenue. The Main Entrance to Stanley Park is on the LEFT.
From points south or north on Rt. 91: On Rt. 91, continue into
Springfield/West Springfield. Take Rt.20 West. Follow Rt.20 West to the center of
Westfield. There will be a Rotary on your left. Go 1/4 way around it. You will see
the Westfield Library on your right. Take a RIGHT onto Court Street. Continue for
about 1 mile Court Street will turn into Western Avenue. The Main Entrance to
Stanley Park is on the LEFT.
