Teens (and mature preteens) can learn the techniques of primitive fishing, including, as time permits:
- making a fish trap
- catching fish by hand
- maybe even creating stone and bone tools
They’ll learn how to forage for wild edibles :
- identifying
- processing
- preparing; and
- primitively cooking ’em!
Other wilderness crafting may be possible too–making cordage, working on bows, etc.
