Seeing through the Eyes of Animals (Tracking)
Saturday, 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
Have you ever been in the woods and wonder “who’s been here?”
Are you someone looking for professional tracking services? Need to educate your staff or team?
Join us for the art and science of tracking. Since 1999, we have had workshops and field classes; in recent years, we’ve added slide shows and video tutorials.
Are you curious about what wildlife lives on your land? We offer wildlife tracking inventories and mapping. This important skill is bringing about real change in wildlife research efforts and has been invaluable to projects throughout the world with quantifiable data.
Learn how to read signs and tell the stories of the landscape and learn terminology so you can have a common language for wildlife conservation efforts.
In our tracking classes, throughout the year, beginner and expert trackers come together and are immersed in ancient and modern teachings. Explore your understanding of the natural world through the eyes of a tracker. Bring your field guides, journal and sense of wonder…for families and adults.

The Art of Storytelling & Night Navigation
Saturday, 6:00 - 9:00 p.m.
Imagine yourself surrounded by a circle of friendly folks around the campfire, sharing stories of nature connection, heroes, lessons from the animals and whatever folks want to share with the group. That's the Art of Storytelling!
Do you understand night navigation? It’s not enough to just know where the North Star and the Big Dipper are...you need to be able to know where to look and have special ways to remember and how to be able to tell that you have the right constellation. In this Workshop, we cover this as you become a star navigator.
Sunday
The Art of Fire
Sunday - 9:00 am-12:00 pm
Can fire really be made by rubbing sticks together? Yes! There are more than 30 ways to make fire! It’s a skill that has been passed on for generations…learn to create fire without matches. Experience this lost art that we are preserving and sharing with the future generations…see our children rekindle this connection to our past and see for yourself why this is essential to witness. Give it a try yourself or help your son or daughter.

…the parts of the wild edibles in season, whether they be: buds, corms, flowers, leaves, pollen, rhizomes, seeds, shoots.
The value of Frank’s knowledge and the wonder of this incredible subject make this an educational experience not to be missed!”

Our Wild Edibles and Medicinal Plant classes provide valuable knowledge!
Discover how to identify, ethically harvest and prepare edible wild plants as food and medicines. Learn the plant rhythm of each season as we visit different ecosystems when certain plants are ready to harvest. Many of the wild plants we explore usually can be found close to home where you can continue to view and harvest them.
Frank is a wonderful, caring guide who teaches with patience and deep wisdom. His teaching makes room for all levels of participants with an infectious excitement that encourages curiosity and honors the role of steward that we must all play toward the earth as we reap these seasonal bounties.
